For years marketers have been struggling to index their backlinks and get better search engine rankings. When I first started with SEO, all I knew was that the more links I got, the higher up I would rank. I literally had no idea about link quality, on-page optimization, activity factors or anchor text variation – none of that. So I started by building crap loads of links using all kinds of automated software and it worked for a while…
In fact I was freaking dominating the search engines for every keyword I chose, but that was back THEN. Back when Google wasn’t doing much about us marketers manipulating the algorithm by artificially building links. Those were the good old days where making money with basic affiliate marketing/Adsense coupled with SEO and simple WordPress sites worked like crazy.
Now you can’t just build links and expect them to give you a major boost in the search engines. Let me explain…
If you want to build LOTS of links and quickly rise in the SERPS, you need to automatically build links by spinning and submitting content all over the place. Of course you’ll need the help of tools like Senuke X and Article Marketing Robot. My point is when you use automated tools to build links, you’re going to have A LOT of links, but they aren’t going to be super high quality. They’re not all going to be full of unique content, and that makes Google think twice about indexing them.
So in order to get the most out of your backlinks, you need to turbo charge them with other link building techniques. Using the two link building techniques I’m about to outline you’ll be able to dramatically increase index rates while also driving maximum link juice through to your website. Let’s begin…
1. Blog Comments
Oh yes – blog comments! Most newbie’s on the block end up spending half their time commenting on blogs for a few crappy backlinks. Most experienced marketers will tell you blog comments are useless and the worst kind of backlinks out there. Truthfully, blog comments are probably the second or third worst type of backlinks. Forum and guestbook spam are both worse. As blog comments aren’t typical backlinks.
If you’re trying to build up a brand or a following then blog commenting should be a top priority on your marketing list. Blog commenting allows you to gain relevant high Page Rank backlinks from authority blogs in your niche. That’s the key to successful blog commenting – commenting on RELEVANT and HIGH PAGE RANK blogs. I know for a fact that in the Internet Marketing niche… A few of the top bloggers employ full time people to solely comment on other relevant blogs.
With blog commenting the key is to leave high quality comments, to add to the conversation or blog post. There are two main uses for blog commenting – to spam your other backlinks, juice them up and help get them indexed. OR… to build high quality 1 way backlinks to your money site. I’m not going to talk about using blog commenting to build high quality links – not in this post anyway.
So How Do You Use Blog Commenting?
Simply to spam your other backlinks. Blog comments are so low quality and give off such a miniscule boost in rankings because search engines know how easily they can be abused. There are literally tools that can blast to hundreds of thousands or even millions of blogs per day! Dropping unique comments on every one of them leaving links back to any websites. Mass blog commenting is complete and utter spam, so I don’t recommend people building them directly at a money site.
Not in the beginning anyway, once your site is authoritative, has aged a little and gained Google’s trust, then it’s safe to spam the living the day lights out of it. In fact I have a friend who buys about 5 new blog post URL lists per week. Each list consists of at least 100,000 blog post URL’s. So he’s building over 500,000 blog comments a week directly linking to his money site. But that’s a little extreme.
So what you should do is blast thousands of blog comments at your CONTENT backlinks. Content backlinks meaning your contextual backlinks. Backlinks like web2.0 sites, article directory links, blog network posts, press releases and so on. All backlinks that have content on as like I said, you need to “force” Google to index those links.
Then there’s comment spam which is also very useful. Using a tool like Scrapebox you can spam MILLIONS of blog posts leaving links to hundreds or thousands of your own websites or backlinks. That’s what I use Scrapebox for; to spam my other backlinks (web2.0’s, article directories, press releases etc) with thousands of blog comments. Doing so makes them more powerful and increases their chances of getting indexed by Google.
4. Forum Profiles
I couldn’t possibly write a post on link building techniques that boost indexing rates without mentioning forum profiles could I? Nope – I couldn’t and here’s why…
Forum profiles aren’t as effective as they used to be. Marketers used to rank websites by using exclusively forum profiles and not many of them either. Now it’s slightly different. You need to create them in mass quantities in order for them to be effective. Fortunately, forums can be so easily abused. You can literally create a million forum profiles in a few days using the infamous Russian tool Xrumer. It’s definitely one of the most if not THEE most powerful SEO tool on the planet.
It posts to countless platforms, runs at the speed of light and is a onetime investment of $500. Considering all it does, its $500 well spent. During my testing I found that I could easily rank for long tail keywords using forum profiles alone. But it’s nice to mix them in with other link building strategies.
How Should You Use Them?
Simple, to spam the crap out of your other backlinks. As I said forum profiles can be created in mass quantities, I’m talking in the millions. And… unlike blog comments they do actually have a reasonable effect on your rankings. So they are ten times more effective than comment spam. There’s an obscene number of forums out there, most of which have no Page Rank and are super low quality. So you can build forum profiles in the tens of thousands at your other backlinks like web2.0’s, article directories, press releases, blog network posts and more.
Then you can build high quality forum profiles for your money site. I would define high quality by Page Rank. Any forum that’s got a Page Rank of 2 or above is worthy of your money site. So you can use forum profiles to boost your money site’s rankings. While also blasting the crap out of your other backlinks.
So that’s about it for this post. I just wanted to break down 2 simple link building techniques anyone can use to boost their rankings and get their backlinks indexed.
In Prosperity,

Some good tips there Jamie, thanks.
I’m looking for a good service to index my backlinks, I heard Backlink Energizer was a good one, any thoughts? Awesome post by the way!
Yeah, there are many and it depends on what links you’re trying to index. BE is good and while I recommend it, it’s a huge pain in the ass if you’re trying to index over 250 links a day.
http://nuclear-link-indexer.com works great, my buddy gets 80% index rates with his blog network links using that service.
Still, the best service is http://backlinksindexer.com/ but it’s expensive. You then have lindexed and linklicious for mass indexing blog comments and profile links etc, but those services yield 5-10% index rates.
