Two Simple Ways To Make Money On The Internet

Over the years I’ve tried dozen of ways to make money on the Internet. It’s been a few years since the beginning of my journey and over that time I’ve figured it out. I know which strategies work and which don’t. So when people come to me asking for advice, 90% of the time they ask “what’s the best way to make money online”…

They all ask the same question and most of the time they want fastest & easiest way to make money. To put a stop to all the nonsense out there, I’ve decided to reveal what I believe to be the top 2 ways to make money on the Internet. Let’s begin:

1. Selling Your Own Information Products

Above all ways to make money online, is selling your own information products. Most people who get started with online marketing end up spending several thousand dollars on information. Educational products that teach them stuff, it’s big business. The guys who make fortunes on the Internet sell information products.  They sell courses and guides on all sorts of crap. You can sell your own information product in just about any niche. It depends on what you know.

The most obvious niches are the make money online, weight loss and self development niche. However there are thousands of profitable niches, many completely untapped by other Internet Marketers. It’s quite funny, a lot of the top Internet Marketers make the majority of their income selling courses about making money online. The funny thing is many of them don’t make any money outside of the IM niche. So really they’re in no position to teach other people how to make a living online.

Anyway, selling your own info products is the best way to Internet riches. I know a gal who has a product in the foreclosure niche. She simply recorded a video series about how anyone can stop foreclosure on their home. She then created a sales page, wrote some copy and stuck it on her own domain. She then marketed her sales page using Google Adwords. In the beginning she lost a couple of grand, but six months down the line she’s pocketing over $300/day in pure profit.

All you have to do is identify a real niche which is a group of people who want or need something. Package an audio/video + PDF’s info product up that teaches the niche how to get what they want or need. Then create a sales page for it and drive traffic to it. You can drive traffic via SEO, PPC, article marketing, blogging or more. It’s simple!

2. Affiliate Marketing

Affiliate Marketing is definitely the second best way to make money on the Internet. It’s essentially selling other people’s products and services for a percentage of the sale. Thanks to affiliate marketing anyone can sell just about anything online. When I explain to people offline that you can literally sell anything in the world with the click of a button, they’re amazed. Reverse back 20 years ago and finding a product to promote would be very difficult.

Now you can go to market places like Clickbank, PayDotCom or Commission Junction and select from thousands of products to promote. There’s no waiting either, most networks give you instant approval to promote a product, you just have to generate an affiliate link and start driving traffic to it. There’s two types of affiliate marketing, digital and physical. Meaning you can promote digital products or physical products.

Right now info products are at least 5 times more profitable since the commissions are always 50%-70%. However they d0n’t convert nearly as well as physical products. You can promote physical products from Amazon, Ebay, Commission Junction or more. Right now promoting Amazon Products seems to be the latest trend, although the commissions are as low as 5%. The low commissions on physical products make them less attractive to promote, but with the right marketing they can be extremely profitable.

Getting started with Affiliate Marketing is easy. You just have to go to one of the networks I mentioned, browse through the categories and find a high converting product to promote. Then take that product and start promoting it via an online marketing strategy. You could setup a big blog, start posting daily and funnel all of its traffic straight to the affilate offer. You could setup a few landing pages and market your affiliate offer via pay per click ads, the possibilities are endless.
